We're Back!

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the new website! It's been a long time since we updated anyone on our progress, so let this entry be a summary of the last two months at Weather Gage Workshop.

First, we moved from our original Wordpress-powered website to this one, run by Squarespace. There was nothing really wrong with Wordpress, but we found that we were unable to accomplish what we wanted to on that platform. So, in addition to spending two months "under cover," we've also been changing the website completely, making it doubly impossible to keep people updated on our progress until that was finished. We're happy to say this new website works fantastically and we're very satisfied with the change.

Back in August/September, we attended PAX West 2016 (and PAX Dev 2016). Like always, it was a blast to see the latest games, as well as the newest talent from the smaller developers. Somewhere around the final day, however, the three of us looked at each other and said "We don't want to attend PAX next year. We're tired of just signing up to watch other people make games. We want to show at PAX."

So, when the con wrapped up, we went back to the drawing board and came up with a plan to get on the floor at PAX West 2017. We'll give more updates as things happen, but for now we can tell you our goal is not only to buy space for a booth, but to have 3 board games ready to sell on-site. We've talked about Congress: The Board Game on our previous website (and perhaps we'll have to re-upload some of that information), but we have two other games in the works - one of which is already developed and ready for testing.

It's a long, hard road, and the deadline for submitting at PAX is rapidly approaching. We will do our best to meet and exceed our expectations, but only time will tell. In the meantime, thanks for checking out our new website! (We promise to add more features as they become relevant.) Stay up to date by following this devlog, and while you're at it, follow us on Facebook and/or Twitter by clicking the buttons at the bottom of this page.

Thank you,

The Weather Gage Team
